This epiphany leads him down the path of self-discovery.
Knowing he was a free thinker and realizing a status quo life was not for him, Murph began carving his own path.
When he discovered the opportunities, leverage and creativity real estate offered him to build a “Life On His Terms.”

Today, Tim Murphy is a licensed real estate agent, established real estate investor and real estate developer in Minneapolis, MN. With a passion for building things. Real estate has been the ideal vehicle to build Murph’s perfect life.
Along his journey, he discovered… Once he stopped having to survive. He was able to thrive. It was in that transition he realized working for money is a fools game.
You need to get your money working for you.
Because if Murph was to live a life on his terms. He needed to start collecting “Mailbox Money.”
That’s when he transitioned from thriving to investing in cash flow.
Today, with a steady stream of cash flow “Mailbox Money” coming in from his real estate investments and 3 successful businesses — he has realized there is way more to life.
As a tireless thinker with an appetite for knowledge Murph set out to discover his WHY.
Over the years adversity has guided him.
Such as the loss of his father when he was 28, His two year old daughter being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was 36, having a herniated disc in his back that lead to surgery when he was 38 and the death of his little brother when he was 43.
These adversities have grounded Tim “Murph” Murphy.
Shaping him into the person he is today.
Tim Murphy has realized there is much more to life than just making money or working to get everything YOU want out of this life.

It was in the pain and through the never ending passion for building things that Tim “Murph” Murphy decided he needed to share his voice and his journey with others like him.
That was how the “Value-Driven Investor” was born.
Robert Grand is a full-time firefighter in Eugene, Oregon, and a successful real estate investor. When you think of a protector and a leader. You think about Bob Grand.
Full-time firefighter’s side-hustle leads to financial freedom and a “life on his terms.”
After a knee injury while working as a firefighter Robert decided he needed a backup plan. That plan couldn’t include doing more physical labor. He realized he needed to work smarter not harder.
While sitting on his couch recovering from his injury he decided to signup for a real estate licensing course. Robert’s mother was a Realtor in the Eugene area for over 25 years and gave him the opportunity to work for her and learn the trade.
After working with his Mom for a couple of years she became ill. 6 months later passed from cancer.
Robert knew he had a decision to make, Hang it up or keep pushing on to carry the legacy of his mother’s name and family business. He decided being a quitter isn’t something he could ever do.
Robert moved his real estate license to Keller Williams and started building his real estate business. Within 1 year he was a top 10% producing Realtor in the Eugene, Oregon area.
Something was missing and Robert couldn’t quite figure out what it was. Previously he had done sweat equity projects on his home. He moved up to the point of building his first home himself in 2008.
Realizing construction and fixing homes up was his true passion, Robert decided to make the move into real estate investing as a professional. Right about the time his brother called with the news that the financial planning company he worked at as a financial analyst was shutting down in Eugene.
His brother decided there was no better time to jump back into the family business.
Ricky took over the real estate sales side of the business while Robert began figuring out the investing side.
2 years later the Grand bros have taken Grand Real Estate Investments to the next level of being a hybrid real estate company that focuses on Real Estate sales and investing.
They have brought on another Realtor who works the sales side of the business. A full-time project manager and 4 full-time construction team members to help get all their projects done.
The business has continued to grow. Now they are the biggest house buying company in the Eugene area.
The journey didn’t end there. Robert realized other people could do exactly what he has done and they could get it done in a shorter amount of time. He set out to help people figure out how they could live life on their own terms in a short amount of time.
After having a conversation with his good friend Tim Murphy, and knowing Tim’s passion for helping people the exact same way Robert wants to. Robert decided to join Tim and together they are growing the Value-Driven Investor community.
